Supports up to 80Gbps UHBR20 bandwidth. When the GPU, monitor and cable configuration support DP2.1, it can drive 8K@120Hz and high-refresh display setups.
2. 8K@120Hz and High-Refresh Support
Designed for DP2.1-compatible graphics cards and monitors. It supports 4K at 240Hz+ without DSC when the connected devices support the required bandwidth.
3. Aluminum Alloy Shell
The aluminum alloy housing helps with heat dissipation during high-bandwidth transmission and protects the connector in daily use.
4. Multi-Layer Shielding
Aluminum foil, braided metal shielding and ground wire are combined to reduce EMI interference and maintain signal integrity in electrically noisy environments.
5. Backward Compatibility
DP2.1 is backward compatible with DP1.4, DP1.3, DP1.2 and DP1.1 devices. The cable operates at the lower link speed of the connected device.
6. MST Multi-Monitor Support
Supports MST where the source and monitors support it. A single cable can drive multiple displays via daisy-chaining, such as 3 × 4K@90Hz or 2 × 8K@120Hz with DSC and compatible equipment.
7. Quality Testing
Each cable undergoes 100% electrical testing, high-bandwidth signal integrity verification and resolution validation.
8. OEM and Wholesale Support
TLD accepts custom length, color, packaging, shielding, cable rating and connector types. Small batch orders are welcome.
Application Scenarios
High-Refresh Gaming and eSports
Connect RTX 30/40/50 series or AMD RX 6000/7000 series GPUs to high-refresh monitors. DP2.1 supports 4K at 240Hz+ when the GPU and monitor support DP2.1 and sufficient bandwidth.
Professional Content Creation and Video Editing
For 8K and high-resolution editing, 3D animation and VFX workflows where the system supports DP2.1. Suitable for color-critical monitoring and high-bandwidth preview.
Multi-Monitor Workstations
Use MST for trading floors, control rooms and data analysis workstations. Actual monitor count, resolution and refresh rate depend on the source, monitors, cable length and DSC support.
Digital Signage and Broadcast
For 8K displays in retail, venues, control rooms and event spaces. For longer runs, use active optical or DP80LL active cables and confirm length requirements with TLD.
Office and Conference Rooms
Connect laptops, desktops, monitors and projectors with standard DisplayPort inputs for presentations, video playback and meeting-room setups.

Important Notes for DP2.1 Selection
Not all DP cables are DP2.1. Older DP1.4 cables cannot deliver UHBR20 bandwidth. Confirm DP2.1 and UHBR20 certification for 80Gbps performance.
Passive DP2.1 cables typically support UHBR20 at 1–2 meters due to signal attenuation. For longer runs, consider active optical or DP80LL active cables.
VESA certification is required for full UHBR20 performance. Uncertified cables may drop bandwidth or cause flickering.
DP2.1 is backward compatible with DP1.4, DP1.3, DP1.2 and DP1.1 devices. The cable will operate at the lower speed of the connected device.
Actual resolution, refresh rate and multi-monitor performance depend on the GPU, monitor, cable length, DSC support and VESA certification.
Quality Assurance
TLD applies quality-control procedures during DP cable production and testing:
100% electrical testing
High-bandwidth signal integrity verification
Resolution validation
Connector and cable appearance inspection
Product assembly inspection
Packaging inspection before shipment
For project and wholesale orders, testing and packaging requirements can be confirmed according to the product configuration.

FAQ
Q1: What is DisplayPort 2.1 and why does it matter?
A: DP2.1 is the latest DisplayPort standard. It offers higher bandwidth than DP1.4, up to 80Gbps UHBR20, enabling 8K and high-refresh display configurations.
Q2: What devices are compatible with this cable?
A: It works with devices featuring a standard DisplayPort output, including desktop graphics cards such as NVIDIA RTX and AMD Radeon, laptops with DP ports, and monitors or projectors with DP input. It is backward compatible with DP1.4 and DP1.2 devices.
Q3: What is the advantage of the aluminum alloy shell?
A: The aluminum alloy housing helps with heat dissipation during high-bandwidth transmission, reduces electromagnetic interference and protects the connector from scratches.
Q4: What shielding is used to ensure signal quality?
A: The cable uses multi-layer shielding: aluminum foil, braided metal shielding and ground wire. This structure reduces EMI interference and supports stable signal integrity.
Q5: How does TLD ensure product quality for this high-speed cable?
A: Every cable undergoes 100% electrical testing, high-bandwidth signal integrity verification and resolution validation. TLD uses high-purity copper conductors and components from certified suppliers. After-sales support is available.
Q6: Can I get a sample for testing?
A: Contact our sales team at sales08@tldcable.com to confirm sample availability and timing.
