The 5ft (1.5m) length reduces excess cable on camera, gimbal and shoulder-mount setups. It provides enough reach for on-board monitors and wireless transmitters without long coils that can tangle or add strain.
Both ends use 24K gold-plated HDMI Type-A male connectors. Triple-layer shielding — aluminium-mylar foil, braided copper mesh and inner foil — helps reduce EMI/RFI from wireless transmitters, lighting ballasts and other production equipment.
